Twang @ DMA Roots 2025

We want to wish you all a nice holiday and thank you for a crazy year 🦄 The year where Twang:

✅ played a Canadian tour
✅ did over 80 shows all together
✅ played DMA Roots 2025 with Lars Lilholt
✅ and got in the habit of playing Heroes of Might & Magic together in our hotel rooms.

Great year! Thank you all for coming out to the shows and having a good time with us! We feel very lucky to have an audience - and even more so an audience that really seems get what we’re about ❤️‍🔥

We just posted a bunch of dates for 2026 so go check ‘em out and stay tuned because we will be posting a lot more soon. We are aiming to play even more shows in 2026 so brace yourselves - Twang is coming to a noodle town near you 🤓🍜

Stay noodly,

❤️ Twang

Dear friends,

We have a pretty major announcement for you all. On December 19th 2025 we will be removing all of our music from streaming services. In this post, we will briefly explain our reasons and also reveal what alternatives we will be offering for our listeners.

Why are we quitting streaming?

1. We wish to take back artistic control! While streaming is convenient in everyday life, it is our belief that this convenience is changing the way we listen to music. Albums are becoming an increasingly long-lost format, but we wish to encourage them because we believe they provide a more wholesome musical experience. When we play shows, we respect our audience by expecting them to dive deep with us on our various musical explorations and we would like our albums and the way we release music to reflect this philosophy, rather than fit into a framework constructed by tech giants in Silicon Valley (among other places) that have no immediate or artistic connection to music.

2. The model is financially unviable for us. We invest a lot of time, energy and funds into writing and recording our music and streaming is simply not offering sufficient return on that investment.

3. Our choice to quit streaming probably won’t change much in the grand scheme of things, but we believe change often happens from the bottom up and we would like to play our small part in moving towards a future that offers better conditions for musicians and listeners alike.

What will we offer as an alternative?

1. We have chosen to join Sleeve. On this platform, you will be able to support our work through subscription-tiers that offer a number of different perks. You will have access to everything from streaming our releases to receiving a yearly Twang gift.

2. Our albums will also be available for purchase and download on Bandcamp. Our Instagram and Facebook pages will remain the same, as well as our YouTube channel.

3. You will be able to purchase our physical albums and merch on our online store and at our shows of course! We hope you can appreciate this decision and we look forward to seeing where this path will take us.
